WELCOME TO THE NAPW WEBSITE

The NAPW is the National Association of Paperstock Women. We are a non-profit group without affiliation to any other association. Membership is open to all persons within the paper industry and all related fields. The NAPW has a diverse membership of paper brokers, packers, mill representatives, mill buyers, document destructions companies, transportation firms, importers and exporters and is comprised of both women and men.

We are constantly striving to return value to our members through innovative and educational programs that inform and advance our knowledge of the paper industry’s domestic and global challenges. We meet at functions held in conjunction with the major paper conferences and our members network with each other on a regular basis all through the United States and Canada.

Our members are committed to being part of creating a better tomorrow by encouraging the best and brightest young individuals to enter the paper recycling industry. Every year it is our primary mission to award scholarships to deserving paper and pulp majors at Syracuse University of New York and North Carolina State University.

The NAPW was the founded by Nini Krever and a small group of industry professionals in 1988. Their purpose was to give women working in paper recycling a more effective voice and a new method of communicating with each other while enhancing their knowledge, effectiveness and visibility within the industry. Additionally, these founders wanted this organization to be an educational vehicle to increase public awareness of paper recycling and to help encourage college students majoring in pulp and paper by granting yearly scholarships. In 1998, they saw this dream come true when the first awards were granted.

Additionally, our mission of raising funds for our Scholarship Program became more attainable when we were granted our 501(c)3 status and the NAPW Charitable Foundation was formed! Now, all donations to our scholarship fund are TAX DEDUCTIBLE to the donor. This is a win-win situation for the donor and our NAPW educational goals!
