PAST EVENTS***** Our New York luncheon in March during Paper Week was great fun, honored our founder Nini Krever and our 15th year anniversary. We marked this special event by giving Star Awards to those outstanding leaders and members who have gone the extra ‘mile’ for the NAPW and the paper industry as well. Honorees were Nini Krever of Traders International, Michael Ruderman of Kruger, Inc., James Baxter Porter III, Linda Leone and Bob Carpenter all of Solvay Paperboard, David, Seth & Noah Goodman of Northstar Pulp & Paper and Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Our raffles were fun and successful as well. The Southeast Recycling Conference in Pensacola, Florida gave us a chance to continue our 15th Anniversary Celebration by giving Star Awards to Ralph Simon, George Elder and James Fletcher of SP Recycling. We had a presentation by Dr. Richard Venditti of North Carolina State University on the school and our 2003 recipient, Kelly Newlin. Mark Starnes of Weyerhaeuser presented us with a $2,500.00 check for our Scholarship Fund!!! Our P. Buckley Moss print raffle was successful thanks in large measure to the great salesmanship of Debra Kendrick-Hopgood of Kendrick Recycling! Thanks Debbie! Recycling Today put on a GREAT conference in Chicago and our event was splendid! Star awards went to James Keefe of Recycling Today, Kevin Duncombe of Western Pacific Pulp & Paper, Marita Daniels, Jan Marrs and Mark Starnes of Weyerhaeuser. Our corporate award went to Weyerhaeuser Recycling for their outstanding support! WE EXTEND OUR WARMEST WELCOME TO THE FOLLOWING
