- Paper Recycling
- The art of making new paper from used paper.
- Fiber
- Little pieces of material that resemble thread and are woven to give structure and strength. The fiber is used to make paper and it comes from wood, rags or paper that has been recovered for recycling.
- Contaminents
- Material such as food, plastics, and/or metals that are mixed in with the recovered paper. These must be removed BEFORE recycling. These items render the paper useless for recycling purposes.
- Corrugated Boxes
- These are the sturdy brown (or white) boxes used everyday to package, ship and protect everything we use in our daily lives. These boxes are made of layers of flat paper glued together with a rippled layer in the middle then cut to the size of box needed.
